Dabangg is an upcoming Hindi film starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha (daughter of Shatrughan Sinha) in lead roles. The film also starrs Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arbaaz Khan and  Mahie Gill beside the leading pair. This film is a debut for Sonakshi Sinha as an actress and Arbaz Khan as a producer. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap, this film would be releasing on 10 September, 2010.

The music has been composed by Sajid-Wajid. Looking at the trailer, the film seems to be quite entertaining. Looking forward to this Salman Khan starrer.

Veer Movie Songs- 2010

Salman Khan has turned workaholic with a vengeance! For the first time ever in his career he can be seen throwing himself in a film so dedicatedly.

A friend of Salman’s tells us, “Veer is his dream project and he has been putting his mind and soul completely into it. He even rushed back to Mumbai from Greece for the shoot of Veer as the sets had been put up and every day was important as his second leading lady Liza Lazarus had already arrived in India by then too. In fact due to time constraints he headed directly to the shoot of Veer in Film City from the airport in his make up van which was waiting for him at the airport.

The friend adds, “Despite the jet lag, he did not go to his home. He shot a few scenes and then took a two hour break and rested in his make up before continuing to shoot till midnight.”

“Salman is leaving no stone unturned for the film. So to ensure that there is no delay in the making of the film he is visiting the gym at Whistling Woods which is close to his sets of Veer to save time lost in traveling from Bandra to Film City.”

"Maine Pyar Kiya" catapulted both the actor and his playback, S.P. Balasubramaniam, to stardom, and jet-setted their careers into commercial cinema. "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya", however, is about lyricist Sameer's umpteen efforts to rhyme 'angle' with 'scandal' and 'triangle'... And after all the 'scandal', Sameer tells you to "Just chill". With such numbers, the album tries to bring youngsters into its aural ambit. Himesh Reshammiya has always specialised in sounds that are more of thrill seekers.

And when he directs music for a Salman-starrer, songs about "chuddies" (underwear) and "odhnis" (scarfs) are but bound to float in the air amidst a tumult of nimbly orchestrated jingles. Alas, Reshammiya orchestrates to deceive. This soundtrack, with more voices than true merit, takes off on a tangent for no rhyme or reason. "Laga prem rog" (Alka Yagnik and Kamaal Khan), and "Just chill" (Sonu Nigam, Jayesh Gandhi, Amrita Kak) are the two tracks that could find their junk-food metier. "Ishq chunariya" and "Sajan tumse pyar" by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik are devoid of a soul. If you've heard what Reshammiya has done in David Dhawan's earlier films, you'd know exactly how boisterous and bubbly this album tries to be. Does it succeed? Why burst the bubble.

Salman Khan is going to be Forgotten Khan

There once was a time when Salman Khan was the top actor in Bollywood. His dance moves, handsome good looks and acting skills sent girls all over the world into a frenzy. In fact, he was once even voted the seventh most handsome man in the world! But alas, times have drastically changed! His boy next door looks have faded into baggy eyes and artificial hair that is painfully visible when the camera pans close up.

Okay, so that shouldn’t keep him up at night because his peers – Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan have both aged as well. Hey, they’re in their forties! It’s only natural. At least they’re not out getting Botox and trying to look like they’re 20 years old again. The main issue here is that Salman’s career has recently taken a nose dive.

All four of Salman’s releases in 2008– ‘God Tussi Great Ho,’ ‘Hello,’ ‘Heros,’ and the over hyped ‘Yuvvraaj,’ tanked at the box office. Not even the help of Bollywood beauty and his real life girlfriend Katrina Kaif could save ‘Yuvvraaj’! Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s one and only release of the year ‘Ghajini’ shattered box office records and his eight pack abs drove audiences wild across the nation.

Plus, he has proved to be a stupendous producer, first with ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and then ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.’ Shahrukh’s lone release of the year, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,’ did very well at the box office and had people falling for the sweet simple character. His home production, ‘Billu Barber’ is also expected to at least make a decent amount of moolah. Aamir and Shahrukh’s status as top level actors and moneymakers are definitely a stark contrast to Salman’s.

It doesn’t seem like things are going to get any better for Salman anytime soon, as the teasers for his film, ‘Veer,’ aren’t sparking any interest from fans and the media alike. So we want to ask you: what can Salman do to salvage his career? Drop us a comment with your thoughts!

Saawariya (2007)

Saawariya is the latest venture by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Ranbir Kapoor , Sonam Kapoor , Rani Mukherjee and guest starring Salman Khan. The trailers seem visually great. Even though I didn't like Ranbir Kapoor girly acting, it seems pretty promising. Ranbir (Rishi Kapoor's son) and Sonam (Anil Kapoor's daughter) are very lucky to start their acting careers in such a big movie. Perhaps they should VERY thankful to their dads. Hope to see a lot of good movies from these two in the future.

Music of Saawariya is directed by Monty Sharma, and what a great job he has done. I very much like this album and I hope you do too. Enjoy!

The Salman-Katrina marriage sham

‘Saamna’, the famous Marathi daily which also happens to be the Shiv Sena mouth piece had claimed that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were married which of course came as a piece of shocking news, no less.

Now the news has been refuted by Salman’s father Salim Khan who was reported to have said it.

The interview was for the special supplement to commemorate Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray’s birthday on Friday. During his conversation, Salim Khan had talked about the secular values of his family and their cool attitude towards religion.

He’d said, "I mentioned how Arbaaz was married to Malaika, a Christian, Sohail to Seema, a Hindu, and Salman’s girlfriend Katrina is a Muslim."

Salim said he was misquoted by the newspaper and clarified, "The reporter has translated my comment into Marathi saying that Salman was married to Katrina.The Marathi word "jar" (if) was missing in the operative sentence, which wrongly gave the impression that the two are married"

A senior journalist with the newspaper called it a printing mistake on the condition of anonymity.

Katrina’s spokesperson termed the report as "baseless" and he said they will be sending a notice to the newspaper demanding a formal apology.

She’s said in an interview, "I definitely think that Saamna should issue a clarification if not an apology because it’s not a small thing. It’s not the news of a movie or some endorsement that one has signed. It’s a big think to make a mistake about somebody’s life like this. And I think a clarification is a must because I know for a fact that Salim sahab has definitely not said anything and one should be careful while reporting for such a major newspaper and while writing articles. My managers have spoken to the editors at ‘Saamna’ and they were assured of a corrigendum. People who read ‘Saamna’ are regulars so when they open the paper tomorrow, there should be a clarification in the paper. They should say that they were misinformed or the misprinted and that’s it. I think the matter should be ended then and there."

Katrina sure knows what she wants! It’s definitely not marriage or talks of a marriage at this point!

In this Sajid Nadiadwala film, Salman Khan is the dude, Akshay Kumar is the geek and Preity Zinta is the beauty. The film is directed by Shirish Kunder and music is by Anu Malik. Jaan-E-Mann is one of the movies set to release on Diwali/Eid, taking on other big banner films such as Don and Dhoom2.

I found the songs pretty impressive the first time I listened to them. They aren't catchy and memorable though. These files are much smaller, so listen to 'em for yourselves. I hope you like them.

Saajan (1991) [Requested]

An anonymous friend of ours had requested Saajan's songs quite long ago. Now that I'm finally posting it, I hope he/she finds out it is up.

Saajan is a film starring young Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan in the lead roles. From what I've read about it online, Saajan was a super hit. It is directed by Lawrence D'Souza.

The music directors of Saajan are Nadeem Sharavan (Nadeem Saifi and Sharavan Rathod). If you are into the 90's movies then this album should be a treat for your. Enjoy!

Baabul (2006)

Set for release this December, Baabul is a movie which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee, John Abraham and Om Puri. It's a film by Ravi Chopra. If you want to know the storyline, go to IndiaFM for nice little description. I think the story of Baabul has been told many many times before in previous Hindi movies. Hope it has some interesting twists in story that make it different from all the others, otherwise I don't think it will be a fun movie. The music of Baabul is the creation of Aadesh Shrivastava. Some songs are pretty cool, my personal favorite is 'Come On Come On'. Enjoy!

Salaam-E-Ishq (2006)

Salaam-E-Ishq is a star packed (six couples. twelve lives.) directed by the man who brought us one of most loved movies of 2003, the one and only Nikhil Advani. It's his second film so far, and from all it's star power, you can only guess that Salaam-E-Ishq is going to do very well in the box-office. But how good a movie it is, is yet to be seen. The cast of SEI includes Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Ayesha Takia, Juhi Chawla, Govinda, Isha Koppikar, Shannon Esrechowitz, Sohail Khan, Karan Johar (!?) and Anjana Sukhani. Wow!

The music of this film is given by the guys who rocked the world with Don's music earlier this, Shankar Ehsaan Loy. The music is great, very playful and as usual they will rock ya! Enjoy!

Tere Naam (2003) [Requested]

Tere Naam is a film directed by Satish Kaushik and stars Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla in the lead roles. As the tagline of the film says, it is based on a true love story which hell of a love story. It has a pretty depressing ending, unlike most other love stories. In this film, we get to see Salman Khan with both long hair (a wig :p) and bald.

Suprisingly, Himesh Reshammiya is the music director of Tere Naam. Lucky for us that he wasn't singing a lot (or at all) at the time or else it wouldn't be such a good album.

Music HAHK is created by Ram Laxman. I personally knew this film due to its song Didi Tera Devar Deewana, which got famous in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Partner (2007)

Based on the Will Smith starring Hollywood film Hitch, Partner features Salman Khan, Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles. It is directed by David Dhawan. Here Sallu is the 'love guru' which leaves Govinda to be the one who needs a make-over to win one of the leading ladies' heart. It's meant to be a comedy film, and I hope that the makers have loaded it with some nice and smart jokes. We've had a little too much of stupid jokes recently, mostly last year.

The man responsible for the music of Partner is Sajid Wajid. It's a pretty fast-paced and loud album with too much bass. If you have a good sound system, big subs with a good amplifier, you can blow your roof off with these songs. And I think that's all they can do, they're neither lyrically good nor musically exceptional. Just loud and in your face, rather in your ear drums. No award nominations for Wajid this year. Have a listen yourselves, and see what I mean.

God Tussi Great Ho (2008)

God Tussi Great Ho is a comedy film directed by Rumi Jaffery and produced by Afzal Khan, staring Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sohail Khan, Manisha Koirala, Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik. God Tusi Great Ho is the Bollywood version of Bruce Almighty. Arun (Salman Khan) is an unsuccessful TV anchor, and blames God for his misfortunes. God (Amitabh Bachchan) appears before him and gives him the power to run the earth for ten days. Even though I don't like watching remakes of Hollywood films, I really want to see this one, mainly because of Salman and Sohail's combo. They were really great in the last filmed they appeared together. I can't quite remember the name, but it was really funny.

Music of GTGH is composed by Sajid Wajid. I haven't listened to the whole album yet, so can't say much. I hope you like them.
