his film needs no introduction. The Golmaal series has been superhit uptil now (though I didn't quite like the second movie). The film stars majority of the previous actors likeAjay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade, and we'll get to see some new faces as well this time such as Kunal Khemu, Mithun Chakraborty, Ratna Pathak, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Vijay Pathak. Plot:
This is the story of two friends - one Hindu and the other Muslim. Their friendship is a unique example of religious tolerance and national integrity. Their families are so close to each other that they look like one big happy family, without bothering about their different religions.

Once when the families meet each other during a marriage ceremony, the youngest son of the Hindu friend (Dino Morea) falls in love with the youngest daughter of the Muslim friend (Bipasha Basu). It is almost love at first sight. A few days pass off without the lovers expressing their feelings. When Dino is supposed to go back home, he makes an endeavor to express his love to Bipasha. But at this juncture, his father falls ill and is hospitalized due to kidney failure. Mighty friendship between the lovers' fathers turns mightiest when Bipasha's father donates his kidney to save Dino's father from premature death.

With this Dino realizes the depth of friendship between the two friends and fears that if he expresses his love for Bipasha, it may lead to the breakup of friendship between the two friends. So he keeps his love for Bipasha to himself and does not say a word to any one. The boy turns gloomy while the girl is abstained by her shyness to express her feelings. The lovers part forlorn. The alienated lovers meet once again, but the time is already up as its Bipasha's marriage. Will the Hindu boy be able to express his love to the Muslim girl? Will their parents accept their love and agree to their marriage? That's what the climax deals about.

Darling (2007)

Darling is on of the upcoming films of director Ram Gopal Verma, starring Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Isha Koppikar for the lead roles. There was so much buzz around RGV' Sholay remake (now knows as RGV Ki Aag) that we didn't even notice he was making Darling. Looking forward to see what he's done in this film.

The music composer of Darling, unfortunately, is Himesh Reshammiya. I don't know anything else about the film, but I definitely believe RGV's choice of music director is kinda rotten. Sorry Himesh fans. Some believe Himesh has a very wide fan-base. If so, the only value he's bringing to the table is in the sales (which is very important for some), but nothing artistic. However that has been compensated for by a very nice Adnan Sami song that I think you shouldn't miss.

36 China Town (2006)

So far I have been uploading songs of post 2006 hindi movies, all of which had one thing in common; they are my favorite!! This post does not belong to that category. But they are new songs for a change.

36 China Town stars Upen Patel, Tanushree Dutta, Akshaye Khanna, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor and is directed by Abbas-Mustan. I haven't watched the movie yet, so I can't comment about that. But I have listened to songs, and I personally don't like them very much. I am not a big fan of Himesh Reshamya's music. Don't get me wrong, he has given some great music but his album is not the type you would like to listen repeatedly. But I do hope you like them.

Phir Hera Pheri (2006)

Here is another addition to our 2006 download list. Phir Hera Pheri's music is by the same person as 36 China Town's is, ie Himesh Reshammiya. In this set of songs, I liked some of remixes more than the original songs, and I think you'll like them too.

Phir Hera Pheri is a sequel to the 2000 movie "Hera Pheri" starring Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and the extremely funny Paresh Rawal. Hera Pheri was a hit, and it is one of the best Hindi comedy movies ever made. I just hope that Phir Hera Pheri is just as good as Hera Pheri, but I highly doubt it after looking at the type of movies being made lately. I definitely hope they prove me wrong. Enjoy the music.

Ahista Ahista (2006)

Himesh Reshammiya sends us another music album. Ahista Ahista's music is just mediocre, it isn't so good and nor so bad. The song 'Dil Naiyyo Maane Re' and its remix from 'Phir Hera Peri' is also added to this album for some reason. After seeing how many movies' music is directed by Himesh this year, you can speculate that he is in it just for the money. He doesn't spend much time on any movie, and he isn't choosy about the type of movies he is offered at all. Accepts whatever comes his way, so you can't actually expect to get any good quality music with that approach. Anyway, Ahista Ahista stars Abhay Deol, Soha Ali Khan and Shyaman Munshi (?). I hope you like the songs more than I did.

Aap Ki Khatir (2006)

http://i7.tinypic.com/20t5e2w.jpg
Himesh Reshammiya's 12th music album release for 2006 is Aap Ki Khatir, starring Dino Morea, Akshaye Khanna, Amisha Patel, Priyanka Chopra, Sunil Shetty, Anupam Kher and Lilete Dubey. It is directed by Dharmesh Darshan. I guess that's enough technical info about the movie.

14 songs? 7 remixes? This guy really knows how to get into my nerves. It takes quite some time to get those many songs uploaded and ready. That is the main reason I uploaded 's songs first, even though Aap Ki Khatir was released first. HOWEVER, no matter how annoying he can be with so many songs per album and singing more than half of them himself, we can't ignore his impressive pace of work, specially when all his songs are average or above. He has a few very good songs, which I can't remember right now. OK, with all that said, it's your turn to listen to the songs, and tell me if they are average or not!

saurabh: Do you think now the latest are here? :)

Tere Naam (2003) [Requested]

Tere Naam Tere Naam is a film directed by Satish Kaushik and stars Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla in the lead roles. As the tagline of the film says, it is based on a true love story which hell of a love story. It has a pretty depressing ending, unlike most other love stories. In this film, we get to see Salman Khan with both long hair (a wig :p) and bald.

Suprisingly, Himesh Reshammiya is the music director of Tere Naam. Lucky for us that he wasn't singing a lot (or at all) at the time or else it wouldn't be such a good album.

This album was Anuj and a few anonymous visitors, here it is guys. Enjoy everybody!

Red (2007)

Red - The Dark Side is a film directed by Vikram Bhatt. It stars Aftab Shivdasani, Celina Jaitley, Amrita Arora and Sushant Singh. The trailer seems pretty intense and I think Aftab is doing a role in this film similar to what he did in Kasoor, or maybe not, I'm just guessing based on what I saw in the trailer.

Unfortunately, the music director of Red is Himesh Reshammiya who has once again sung (almost) all the songs himself. This is his first album of 2007, and I'm sure there are a lot more to come.

Shakalaka Boom Boom (2007)

http://www.apunkachoice.com/upload/movies/movgal5561.jpg
Shakalaka Boom Boom is a film directed by Suneel Darshan and stars Kangna Ranaut, Bobby Deol, Upen Patel and Celina Jaitley. The music of the film is by Himesh Reshammiya, who has stated that this film 'would explore his personal life'. It is an exaggerated version of his real life struggles in the music industry and his love story. Check out SBB's official website for more details on the story and a couple of trailers.

Since this film is about himself, I was hoping that Mr. Reshammiya would be passionate about it and create something better than his usual stuff. Unfortunately, I was disappointed; he doesn't give a @#$% about it. Don't get me wrong, the music is better than most of what we've been thrown at in 2007. I personllay think the only good thing in this film is Kangna Ranaut. I haven't been a fan of neither Bobby Deol and nor Celina Jaitly (she is hot though :p). Upen? He is too new to have an opinion about. Don't let me discourage you, go ahead download and listen to the songs and make up your own minds. I sure do hope you aren't like me, and that you will like the songs :p.

Apne (2007)

ApneApne is a film directed by Anil Sharma and stars Dharmendra and his two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, alongside Katrina Kaif and Shelpa Shetty. It's the first film to feature Dharmendra and his to sons together. It's a family film, probably with lots of tears and sorrows and hopefully not with a story already told. We've had too much of that. Daddy's Girl has a wonderful blog, In Praise of All Things Dharmendra. Chech it out whether you are a Dharmendra/Sunny/Bobby fan or not. It's a fun blog, a really nice read.

Music of Apne is composed by the widely love and hated director, Himesh Reshammiya. I'm personally in the 'hate' pole in regards with his music, and voice. It's a typical Himesh album, with a lot of the songs in his own voice. I do think Dekhoon Tujhe To Pyaar Aaye could have been much better if it was sung by someone else. Actually all songs could've been better, but that particular song has potential in my mind. But thanks to Himesh, I don't like it. I hope you are from 'love' end of his fan spectrum and enjoy this album.

Welcome (2007)

Welcome is a comedy movie directed by Anees Bazmee and stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, and Feroz Khan in major roles. It's about the marriage of Akshay and Katrina's characters and the opposition to that marriage by their families. One being from a strict and educated family while the is from a gangster family. Akshay's been hitting us with so many comedy movies lately. Who would think that Mr. Khiladi would one day be a funny man.

Music of is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Anand Raj Anand. Thanks to Anand's participation, we only get to hear Himesh in one song. However, it's Anand who is singing 3 of the songs this time. Fortunately, his voice is not as annoying :)

Aap Kaa Surroor (2007)

Remember Himesh Reshammiya debuting acting last year in a film supposedly telling his real love story? That movie was Aap Ka Surroor. I didn't get to post the songs back then, so here they are. Aap Ka Surroor is directed by Prashant Chadha who also started his directing career with this film. Other major casts of AKS include Mallika Sherawat, Hansika Motwani and Raj Babbar. Btw, there's going to be sequel to this film also directed by Prashant Chadha called "Aap Ka Surroor 2: Ae Himesh Bhai" set to release sometimes this year, so keep an eye out for that if you are a Himesh fan.

Music of AKS is of course composed by Himesh himself. There are some nice tracks there. I hope you like this album, even though it is kinda dated.
